Mojito

It’s Weekend and that means Cocktail Time!! This time I’ve chosen the Mojito. Because the bottle of Captain Morgan was already on the counter (oh yes, there will be an amazing recipe soon!!!) and I had fresh mint leaves. And that was not a coincidence. I wanted to make this cocktail last week but then the Bellini won! And now, my dear boozy friends, I’m going to be honest, this Mojito is not my favorite. Oh it’s not bad, oooh no not at all, I mean hey… how can booze be bad huh??!!

It just doesn’t make my skirt fly up, maybe a little but that’s not enough! I want ooh’s and aah’s and OMG’s!! That didn’t happen, it’s like in real life, you can’t have fireworks every day and some days just don’t bring you to that most beloved higher level… I agree, the amount of alcohol can play a big role in this too, but wow wait, I’m definitely not Dr. Ruth!! We’re talking about cocktails here, they gotta have a certain amount of alcohol, at least for me!! And this one had enough of it, but the taste…mwah… I think it’s safer I won’t dig further into that one!

But maybe this is the one for you! So shake it up baby and let me know what this one does for you!!

Picture
1.25 oz Captain Morgan spiced rum
10 mint leaves
1 tablespoon sugar
0,5 oz lime juice
Soda
Ice cubes

Mix everything, except the soda, in a glass, stir stir stir (oh and stir it well baby!!!) and then add the soda. Done!

Now, tell me… does this makes you happy?? I do hope so :-)))

Cheers!

Sunday = Cocktail Time?
Not necessarily for the BarBQBoozers but if you insist and really want or need a reason, there you have one! (No need to thank me....)
And today oooh yeah do I have a fancy one for ya! I love the color that’s always important, but of course not THE reason that I picked this cocktail out of more than thousand possibilities! By the way, that’s much huh?! Hehe… that can only mean that this website will be your companion at the bar for a looooong time! Bartender, poor us another drink please!

Oh yes, the question was why did I choose this one….because I love it, I love peaches and Champagne oh yes and peach schnapps too…you guessed this already haha!

Now, please take a look at this:

How do you make this one, for 2 servings you need:

2 oz peach nectar
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 oz peach schnapps
3 oz chilled dry Champagne (or Sekt or Prosecco)

Mix everything and put it in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Serve it in 2 chilled glasses. Easy does it haha!

“Let the music play, I just want to dance the night away” sings Barry White right now on the radio... oooowww I think I’ll have another one! Glad this recipe is for two servings!

Cheers!

To be honest, I haven’t got a clue why this cocktail is called Kung Fu. And I didn’t choose this one because of that name, I don’t even like Kung Fu! But when I was searching for a cocktail and saw these ingredients I knew I had to make this one. Such a weird combo of ingredients!! I couldn’t imagine what it would taste like, but now I do….! Gimme more!! Maybe that was what that song from the 70’s performed by Carl Douglas was about?? Mmmm….I doubt it haha!

By the way…..don’t drink a cocktail after you’ve had some wine… you will fall asleep almost immediately after the last sip….you missed me yesterday didn’t you?? Yeah I was testing hehehe!

Oh and by the way #2: I said I didn’t like ice cubes in my cocktail but it was a must with this one, and besides if you drink fast enough the ice cubes won’t have time to melt. Maybe that was the reason I fell asleep so soon? Hmmm…. must do another test on that!

For 1 serving you need:

3 cl Jägermeister herbal liqueur (there’s always a bottle of that in my fridge…)
2 cl. Pisang Ambon (banana liqueur.....remember…???)
Coca Cola

Pour Jägermeister and Pisang Ambon over some ice cubes in a cocktail glass. Fill the glass with the cola. Drink. Enjoy. Zzzzz….

Cheers!!

It's not only cooking and grilling here on our Website, but ooow we can also mix some great boozy cocktails!
In anticipation of the next recipe (pssst....it's called After Sex...and it has something to do with bananas...), I (that is The Dutchess) had the tough job to find a cocktail that would be a great "appetizer" for that next recipe. And geez, tough it was, trying out cocktails at 11am is not what I usually do on a Sunday Morning, but do I complain???
Noooo....and I'm sure you'll forgive me for any typos or other mistakes for the rest of the day. Thank you very much!!
Hehehe this stuff is heavy!!!
It was not easy choosing the best of three (yes...I tried three cocktails...) different cocktails but I think I made the right choice. I think.
Plus the name was the nicest too... and it has three different kinds of booze....easy choice actually!!

What are the ingredients?
Mix equal parts Vodka, Tequila and ..... here's the connection to the next recipe... Pisang Ambon (banana liquor hehehe), a few drops of lime juice and fill up the glass with Club Soda. You can add some icecubes if you want. I didn't add any ice, I don't like water in my cocktails haha!

Cheers!!
And now I really need a nap....
